Harvest Apple Crisp
This recipe from Margaret Nur was one of the winner's of the Apple Recipe Competition at the Canadian Baking and Sweets Show.
|12||Ontario apples, preferably McIntosh|
|1 cup, and 1 tbsp||flour||255mL|
|1/4 tsp||tsp salt||1mL|
|6 tbsp||chopped butter||90mL|
Peel the apples and slice them. Toss with 1 tbsp. flour. Place in a large, buttered flan dish. Mix up the white sugar with the molasses. Stir in remaining ingredients with the sugar mixture and mix until a soft crumb forms. Sprinkle on top of the apples in the dish. Bake in a 350 degree oven until top is golden brown and apples are soft when pierced with a fork, about 30 minutes, give or take.print
